It looks like Brie Larson has finally begun preparing for her role as Captain Marvel for her upcoming origin film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Oscar-winning actress recently visited an Air Force base in Nevada to learn more about aircrafts and others to help her in the portrayal of character Carol Danvers.
The Photos of Larson in an Air Force base was found by a fan account called CaptainMarvelNews on Twitter. The description in the Instagram post revealed that the actress was there for research purposes to learn more about fighter jets such as F15. Here’s what the post read:
“Had the opportunity to have lunch with Brie Larson today!! Going to show her around the F15 for her upcoming movie “Captain Marvel” We even FaceTimed,” read the description. Fans can find the photos below.
For those unaware, in the comics, when Carol Danvers was introduced in the late 1960s she wasn’t a superhero. But the character was already a member of the U.S Air Force. Furthermore, she was part of the military since the age of 18 when she decided it would help her pay for college.
The photos also suggest that Larson’s Carol Danvers may film scenes piloting an F15 at some point in the movie. Fans may soon find out since Captain Marvel project is expected to begin production this February.
Ms. Marvel’s origin story is prominent in further explaining the arc that will be completed with Avengers 4. In an earlier interview, MCU boss Kevin Feige also teased the importance of the character, stating she will answer some of the events that unfolded in space.
Captain Marvel is set in the 1990s and will feature a Nick Fury who will be revealed with both his eyes, confirmed by actor Samuel L. Jackson himself in a recent interview The A.V. Club. In fact, it will also serve as a type of origin story for the Sergeant.
The origin film will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. It is expected to hi theatres on March 8, 2019.
