The season 3 of Starz’s highly popular horror franchise series Ash vs. Evil Dead kicked off on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Although season 3 has just begun, fans are already keen on knowing whether the series will be renewed for a fourth season.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, star Bruce Campbell, who plays the role of Ash Williams in the series, teased that if in case if we never get a Season 4 of the series, a new movie would be a possibility.
“We’re in the horrible television limbo right now. We’re going to see what the TV gods have in store for us. We’re ready either way,” Campbell shared with EW. “If they take us off the air, we can think about another movie. And if they don’t, we can just keep plugging away.”
Notably, both season 1 and season 2 of the comedy horror series premiered in the month of October. So, after Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 ended on December 11, 2016, fans were expecting the next season to premiere in October of 2017. But, that did not happen. The delay was due to a creative shakeup which saw the original showrunner Craig DiGregorio making an exit from the series. DiGregorio was later replaced by Mark Verheiden.
There even came a point when Starz had absolutely nothing to say about the status of Ash vs Evil Dead. This lead some fans to wonder if the already filmed season 3 would be shown ever. Thankfully it did. Now, there are a lot of speculations among fans if Ash vs Evil Dead will return for season 4 on Starz or not.
Campell said that he expects he will get to know regarding Ash vs Evil Dead’s future by the middle of March. Till then, fans can enjoy watching Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 which airs Sundays on Starz.
