Captain America 4 – This Falcon and the Winter Soldier character reportedly appears in MCU’s New World Order

Marvel has been laying the foundation for Captain America 4’s plot since teasing the New World Order in an episode title for Falcon and the Winter Soldier. While the bigger picture still remains a mystery, tidbits of info from insiders suggest the fourth installment will lead up or connect to MCU’s Thunderbolts, like the new rumor indicating Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) will appear in the Anthony Mackie starrer 2024 flick.

Captain America 4 is likely at the end of the list among fans’ most anticipated MCU titles, mainly due to the long wait. But earlier this September at D23, Kevin Feige raised fans’ expectations by bringing on stage Time Blake Nelson, confirming his character’s return from The Incredible Hulk as Samuel Sterns a.k.a The Leader. In addition, Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres was also announced as the main cast.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier showed Sam Wilson take ownership of Steve Roger’s shield, throwing aside all the complexities that came along with representing himself as Captain America. But decisions have consequences, and the Falcon’s new winged identity is sure to attract the federal government’s attention, like the director of CIA, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

According to a tweet from credible insider MyTimeToShineHello, Val will appear in Captain America: New World Order. Her character’s involvement shouldn’t be a surprise since the CIA director also popped up in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Val’s scenes with Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) –  while funny, it sets up her importance in representing the State’s desire to have its own enhanced individuals and resources. Though it also the begs question, what would S.W.O.R.D’s response be?

There’s no doubt that chaotic landscape shifts in the MCU are at play since Phase 4 began medaling around intergalactic & cosmic concepts and surprisingly, the teaser for the Secret Invasion series suggests Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) might be on top of the game after spending a considerable amount of time with the Skrulls in outer space.

Fury’s arc is expected to wrap up in Phase 5 and if the hints are to be believed, Val will take the reign and knowing Marvel’s linear storytelling – Feige could have a special treatment in store for Jackson’s character considering he’s remained on the sidelines since faking his death in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Captain America 4 will land in theaters on May 3, 2024.
