Now that Captain Marvel has wrapped up filming, fans are eagerly waiting for the first official glimpse at Marvel’s female-led superhero movie. While there’s still time for the film’s poster or teaser trailer to show up, Insight Editions, one of Disney’s licensing partners, has released new collectible Captain Marvel notebooks.
One of the two notebooks, which are currently listed on Amazon for pre-orders, features Brie Larson’s titular superhero on the cover from the waist up with her hair blowing in the wind. The other notebook shows off the Captain Marvel logo and emblem that was teased at the end of Avengers: Infinity War when Nick Fury sent the signal for help. It also has the tagline “Protector of the Skies” written below the logo. The notebooks have been listed on Amazon with an April 2 launch date.
The reveal of the film’s first merchandise is an indication that more official looks at Captain Marvel will likely arrive soon. With just six months left for the Marvel film’s release, the film’s marketing and promotional campaigns are expected to begin fairly soon.
Set in the 1990s amid the Kree-Skrull War, Captain Marvel will dig deeper into Carol Danvers’ transformation from a U.S. Air Force pilot to a superhero. The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Djimon Hounsou, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Lee Pace, and Jude Law.
Lee Pace recently posted a teaser video marking his return as Ronan the Accuser in Captain Marvel. The actor first appeared as the antagonist Ronan in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
While Lee doesn’t say a word in the video, he can be seen wearing a hat with the film’s logo on the back and Danvers’ suit insignia on the front. You can check out the video below.
Captain Marvel is set to debut in theaters on March 8, 2019.
