Marvel fans still have a long way to go to watch Brie Larson on the big screen as Captain Marvel. But that hasn’t stopped the actress from preparing for the role since it was announced at SDCC 2016. Moreover, it also looks like the studio has also decided on how the character would be portrayed in her standalone live action film.
Recently, Larson spoke to SciFi Magazine and revealed some must-know important details about her Marvel role. Initially, the actress found it hard to believe that she is finally part of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“Being a member of the Marvel family now, it’s still really surreal. I still can’t believe it to be honest, so very “pinch me.”
Larson pointed out that her adaptation of Carol Danvers might not be accepted by some comic fans due to different versions of the superhero in Marvel comics. Here’s what she said.
“To be fair, there are a lot of iterations of her, so there’s going to be some people out there who think this isn’t right.”
The actress shared details of the character and her responsibility in the Marvel Universe. Moreover, Larson also stated one of Captain Marvel’s ability as well.
She’s a believer in truth and justice, and she is a bridge between two worlds, between Earth and space. She’s fighting between the flaws that are within her and all this good that she wants to try and spread, and make the world a better place. She can also fly and shoot things out of her hands. And she’s really funny!
There were earlier speculations that Larson could appear as Carol Danvers in Avengers: Infinity War. If so, it has been suggested that she would not have her superpowers during the time.
Captain Marvel is scheduled to release on March 8th, 2019. The film would be a treat as it releases on International Women’s day.
