Captain Marvel First Full Trailer Arriving On Tuesday, GMA Teases In New Tweet

The highly awaited first Captain Marvel trailer is confirmed to debut tomorrow on Good Morning America. Actress Brie Larson is scheduled to make an appearance on the morning talk show, which airs at 7 a.m. ET/PT on ABC, on Tuesday, September 18.

The excitement for Captain Marvel increased among fans after they found the female Marvel superhero being teased in Avengers: Infinity War’s post-credits scene. The scene saw Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in the middle of a chaos created by Thanos’ snap which turned half the universe’s population into dust. Fury too became a victim of the snap, but, he somehow managed to use his pager and send a message to Captain Marvel before disappearing into dust.

Notably, Captain Marvel is also touted as the most powerful Marvel superhero ever. So, it is expected that the pilot-turned-superhero will play a major role in getting Thanos down in the upcoming Avengers 4.

Captain Marvel was previously rumored to be an origin story. But, according to reports, Larson’s Carol Danvers will already have her superpowers when the film takes off. She will be shown as a part of the elite Kree military team Starforce, led by Jude Law’s enigmatic commander. The military team’s main foe will be the Skrulls, with Ben Mendelsohn as their leader Talos. Skrull’s invasion of Earth will force Danvers to return back to Earth.

Set in the ’90s, Captain Marvel has reportedly been made on a budget of $152 million, according to a listing on the Louisiana Economic Development website. This makes it one of the lowest budgeted Marvel movies in years. Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War are the two most expensive MCU films ever, both made on a budget of around $400 million. Iron Man is the least expensive MCU movie made for $140 million.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel arrives in theaters on March 8, 2019.
