After Marvel Studios released the first set of Captain Marvel pictures via Entertainment Weekly, social media got flooded with fans’ posts celebrating the female superhero. The pictures featured Academy Award-winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson’s de-aged Nick Fury, Jude Law’s Mar-Vell, Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau and the nasty Skrull warriors storming a beach.
But, unfortunately, some toxic fans were not in awe of the pictures as they claimed Shazam as the real Captain Marvel and not Carol Danvers. Notably, the name Captain Marvel was originally given to the DC Comics character Shazam.
Tired of the social media toxicity, a comic artist whose Twitter handle is @JoeTheNiteOwl, came up with an artwork featuring Zachary Levi as Shazam and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel sitting together sharing some laughs together.
Well, the artwork has a deep meaning attached. It depicts if Marvel and DC superheroes can come together as friends then why not Marvel and DC fans online. You can check out the artwork below.
Directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel follows the story of an Air Force pilot, Carol Danvers, whose DNA gets fused with that of the alien species leading to her becoming a superhero. The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
Captain Marvel is set to release in theaters on March 8, 2019.
Shazam! is a light-hearted superhero comedy film that follows the story of a teenager boy Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who is granted the ability to turn into a superhero ( Zachary Levi) by an ancient wizard. Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! also stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Jovan Armand, Adam Brody, Marta Milans, Ross Butler, Cooper Andrews, and Ian Chen.
Shazam! is scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 5, 2019.

Saw this guy on here earlier raging about how there's "Only one Captain Marvel movie that matters coming out and it's called Shazam!" and in general he was being real toxic about the MCU Captain Marvel, which made me laugh- like, lol bro, wtf? So I drew this picture. pic.twitter.com/QVc9af9czX
