Captain Marvel is MCU’s next focus after Ant-Man and the Wasp. Rumor suggests that they are in search for actors to cast in key roles for specific scenes in the film.
Marvel team has completed its work on Ant-Man and the Wasp as is evident by the crew wrap party that was held recently. The team has now begun to look forward to their first woman led superhero film Captain Marvel with Brie Larson playing the lead role of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel.
Speculations are rife that MCU is on the lookout for actors to enact key roles in various scenes in the film towards the end of January next year (since they will shoot for one whole week), coinciding with Avengers 4. According to MCU Exchange, the film will begin its official production in early March, and will wrap it up in mid-July.
It is to be noted here that the production changed locations from Atlanta to Los Angeles, thereby hinting at the probable new setting of the film. As per MCU Exchange, the early shoot will help them utilize the cast of Avengers 4. It was during the San Diego Comic-Con that the new details of Brie Larson’s solo film were revealed.
The plot of Captain Marvel is set in the ’90s and would adapt elements of “The Kree-Skrull War”, which includes both alien races stepping down to Earth. Samuel L. Jackson, who will play Nick Fury in the film, will have both his eyes intact. Ben Mendelsohn is rumored to play the villain in the film.
There is very little information coming through at the moment except that the production will begin soon. Fans can surely expect to hear more details about the film’s cast in the coming months.
Captain Marvel, scheduled to hit the theaters on March 8, 2019, will be directed by Anna Boden, and Ryan Fleck. The two also earlier worked on Mississippi Grind together. The script is written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
