Marvel studios have finally found its “directors” to helm Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson as the female superhero known as Carol Danvers. Going by the report, fans can rest assured that the execs have done a thorough job in finding the right duo to direct the MCU film.
According to Variety, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have come abroad to direct Captain Marvel. The studio has not yet made a statement on the news but there’s more to the announcement.
The studio reportedly wanted their script to be in the “right shape” prior to sealing a deal with a director. Fortunately, it looks like their patients have turned in favor to them.
The report goes on to reveal that the execs had several meetings with the duo directors and were impressed to hear their vision for the female superhero. For those unaware, Boden and Fleck have collaborated to direct many projects in TV and film.
The two are quite known for Mississippi Grind, Half Nelson and for directing episodes for The Affair and Billions under Showtime. Currently, Meg Lefauve and Nicole Perlman are in the process of scripting the standalone film.
Brie Larson plays as an Air Force pilot known as Carol Danvers. After an accident which leads to her DNA fusing with an alien, it, in turn, gifts her with superhuman abilities.
It has been rumored that her character would appear in Avengers: Infinity War. but the character wouldn’t have gone through her DNA mutation yet. however, there has been no official confirmation on the news.
