It has long been speculated that Carol Danvers will make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Recently, Marvel may have hinted at the superhero’s appearance in the movie via their True Believers comics.
ICv2 recently revealed all the True Believers one-shots that are lined up for April release. Furthermore, all the comics seem to be about Infinity War.
According to their listing, the comics are titled as Thanos the first, Avengers vs. Thanos, Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos Rising, Infinity Incoming!, Rebirth of Thanos, and Infinity War. But what fans would find intriguing is the last comic titled as Carol Danvers.
Fans must note that the True Believers comics are $1 reprints that are used as part of its marketing strategy to promote characters and concepts. By the looks of it, the studio might be selling Captain Marvel a bit earlier before the audience gets to see her in action in her standalone movie.
It was long rumored that Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers would be introduced with a cameo appearance in Avengers: Infinity War. The recent filming of Captain Marvel in California and Atlanta had once again raised questions if the superhero would be revealed in a brief scene in the upcoming third installment.
It would make sense to introduce the character at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. While it would help promote the standalone movie, it would also connect events and set up things in order for Avengers 4. Earlier, MCU boss Kevin Feige also hinted the importance of the character in completing the arc.
Captain Marvel is currently in production. The first batch of set photos revealed the first look at her costume. But it won’t be the last suit that superhero will be shown donning in her standalone movie. The film is set to hit theatres on March 6th, 2019.
