Charlie Cox trends as MCU fans expect new Daredevil reboot news & appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home

More evidence continues to mount on suggesting Charlie Cox’s return as the daredevil in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furthermore, it also seems likely Matt Murdock will first appear as the blind lawyer in Marvel Studios’ & Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home. Though an official confirmation is yet to arrive, a new rumor has fans convinced the announcement will transpire this week.

A casting grid indicating a solo Daredevil project is in the works was revealed by scoop reporting Twitter account, @RPK_News1, known for breaking accurate film production information. The grid was shared on Twitter suggesting Marvel Studios is in the early stages of developing a project based on the character.

The vague casting grid offers no details on whether the project is a feature film or a Disney Plus series. Even so, it hasn’t stopped excited fans from celebrating Cox’s return as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Rumors circulating on social media suggest the big reveal will be announced at a Spider-Man: No Way Home fan event in LA this Tuesday.

For those unaware, Marvel Studios & Sony have organized a fan event for the threequel to unveil a new trailer. The promo footage is expected to confirm the multiverse narrative, suggesting Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire are also appearing as their version of Spider-Man. Earlier this month, a major leak suggesting the same took the fandom by surprise.

Charlie Cox’s daredevil rumored to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home fan event

So far, reactions across have been wild with many expecting Daredevil’s new arc to crossover with other Marvel Disney Plus shows. Readers can check out the tweets below.

Cox’s involvement in the MCU is a long-spoken rumor among cinephile and Hollywood. Earlier in January, Comicbook reported that the 38-year-old star filmed scenes for Spider-Man: No Way Home after being spotted on set. Though at the moment, it’s being suggested the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will be introduced in the third installment to possibly establish the character in a post-No Way Home multiverse world.

In any case, it likely won’t be a continuation of Netflix’s version of Daredevil rather a reboot played by Cox. Fans are urged to have their eyes set on Marvel/Sony’s social media platform for updates on Tuesday, specifically after 5:00 PM PST when the fan event kicks off.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will arrive in theatres on December 17th.
