With Avengers: Infinity War inching closer to its May 2018 release date, more and more updates and news about the film’s plot as well as the characters have started pouring in. A lot of reports about Thor’s new weapon, Captain America’s new beard look and his new shield have been making rounds for quite some time now. Not only the superheroes but Marvel’s supervillain Thanos also fans.
The picture of a new Avenger: Infinity War toy, which was posted on the Marvel Studios subreddit, showcased the first real look at Thanos’ full suit. The toy in question boasts an Iron Man and Thanos two-pack from Hasbro. Notably, it’s the first time that Thanos is seen in full armor.
The toy features a sword-themed around his encounter with Iron Man in the film. The pack also includes the purple and blue Infinity Stones seen in the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Infinity War trailer. At this point of time, it remains unconfirmed if Thanos will be seen donning the same avatar as the toy in the upcoming Marvel film.
Fans’ reaction to the toy has also been mixed as many have decided to take the news with a grain of salt. Usually, most of the toys end up exaggerating the suit’s look from the movie or purposely create a skin that would interest the fans.
In Avengers: Infinity War, the fan-favorite Marvel superheroes will be seen fighting against super-villain Thanos as he attempts to secure the Infinity Stones. Thanos’ intergalactic task force, Black Order, will comprise of Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight and Cull Obsidian.
The film will reportedly bring together 76 Marvel Universe characters including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) in one screen.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War will land in theatres on May 4, 2018. The fourth untitled Avengers movie is set to release on May 3, 2019.
