Chris Evans was originally supposed to take his exit from Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Infinity War. However, the actor was fortunately persuaded to extend his contract to be part of Avengers 4. Finally, Evans has revealed the reason behind his last reprisal in the fourth installment.
Recently, Evans was interviewed by Telegraph to discuss his views on politics, career and mainly to talk about playing as Captain America for the last time. During the interview, the actor revealed why he decided to extend his contract with Marvel Studios.
“I had six films in my Marvel contract, so I could have said after the third Avengers I was done, but they wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter. They said they had so many other characters to fit in – Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man – and couldn’t get them all into one movie. [I agreed] because it made sense. It’s going to wrap everything up.”
Going by his comment, it looks like Chris Evans exit would be as grand and touching as Hugh Jackman’s last reprisal of Wolverine in Logan. Moreover, it’s exciting to hear that Evans isn’t looking to rush his exit but rather make it memorable to the fans.
As of now, we aren’t sure if Sebastian Stan’s Winter Solider would be the next to take on the mantle as Captain America. If so, would it be revealed in the upcoming two Avengers Instalment? We’ll soon find out,
