From Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to 20th century studios’ Avatar 2, the mouse house is in the Colosseum at CinemaCon 2022 presenting an extensive look at The Walt Disney Studios’ upcoming releases. Marvel Cinematic Universe Chief Kevin Feige was in attendance addressing future projects though the veteran producer also revealed his next itinerary will have him and the creative heads at Marvel working out the next decade of MCU’s roadmap. Here’s a highlight of everything unveiled at Day 3’s CinemaCon 2022 presentation, on April 27.

Anticipation for Disney’s presentation at CinemaCon was high as usual with the outside of the Colosseum featuring new promos from Avatar 2 with Sam Worthington’s Jake Sully and Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri character posters. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Lightyear & several others can also be spotted below. Disney also provided attendees with IMAX 3D glasses to experience the Avatar 2 footage shot in 3D.

The presentation began with 70-minutes of footage unpacking Disney’s forthcoming releases. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever first footage was also shown and it teased a significant battle with Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia, Letitia Wright’s Shuri and Danai Gurira’s Okoye on the frontline. Avatar 2, officially titled Avatar The Way of Water was unveiled by producer Jon Landau.

Avatar 2 teaser trailer showcased the protagonists flying through the mountains of Pandora, shots of underwater creatures, Jake’s new hairdo & more. In general, some attendees are praising the visuals. A message from Director James Cameron was shown during the presentation saying every shot was captured for the big screen experience. “We wanted to push the limits of what theatres can do.”

As for the footage? It looked suitably beautiful but also very familiar. It's still Pandora but now there are larger vistas, underwater creatures and swimming, Jake has a new haircut, and lots of kid Na'vi. More soon.

Avatar The Way of Water teaser trailer will be shown in front of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The trailer will be shared online the following week and additionally, Avatar 1 will get a re-release for theatres on September 23.
Surprisingly, A 20-minute screening of Doctor Strange 2 was also on the table even though the sequel is days away from its theatrical release. A description of the footage describes battle sequences taking place in different universes and a full battle against the one-eyed monster shown in trailers. The first act has Christine Palmer’s (Rachel McAdams) wedding also has a Spider-Man joke and introduces America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) as well.

Outside the MCU, Disney’s Pixar offered a 30-minute screening of Lightyear, as well as footage from The Bob’s Burger movie. Furthermore, David O. Russell’s upcoming movie is titled AMSTERDAM with a first look image featuring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington. Furthermore, Taylor Swift also appears in the trailer.
