All eyes are on SDCC 2022 with Prime Video releasing The Rings of Power posters for their Hall H countdown, Warner Bros. teasing Black Adam as the Comic-con event and the larger Comic book movie fandom anticipating a first look at Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. HBO will also take the big stage for the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon. In addition, rumors are riff there are more reveals kept in bay so here’s what to expect from next week’s entertainment event.
San Diego Comic-Con 2022 is packed with exciting announcements, giveaways, TV/film screenings, celebrity signing booths and much more to put in words in a five-day extravagant event. But Saturday’s Hall-H will observe the most reception with a jam-packed auditorium to hear out studios like Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and more tease their upcoming line-ups. For this year, cinephiles can expect:

HBO’s House of The Dragon
Game of Thrones fans will get to dive deep into Targaryen history during the House of the Dragon panel that includes co-creator and executive producer George R. R. Martin, showrunner and co-creator Ryan Condal, co-showrunner/director/executive producer Miguel Sapochnik. The main cast will also participate namely Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon) Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Milly Alcock (Young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Eva Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen) and Emily Carey (Young ALicent Hightower). TIME: 11:30-12:30 PM PST.
Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige will bring to stage announcements related to the “ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe”. Described as a “mega-panel” – MCU aficionados are hoping to get promos for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Kang the Conqueror first look?), the upcoming She-Hulk featuring Tatiana Maslany and Loki season 2. Furthermore, the Ms. Marvel season finale teasing its connection to The Marvels with Brie Larson’s cameo has fans expecting news on the Captain Marvel sequel and even X-Men-related news. But the biggest hope is for some Fantastic Four update during the 30-minute panel. While rumors on Reddit indicated Daredevil news among MCU’s Hall-H announcements but the report was called false. TIME: 5:00 PM – 6:00PM PST.

In addition, Marvel Studios animation panel will reportedly showcase Marvel Zombies, X-Men 97, What If..? Season 2.

Warner Bros. also hops on the long SDCC Hall-H tradition to bring its exciting DCEU line-up namely the Dwayne Johnson starring Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods featuring Zachary Levi. It remains to be seen if Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash could have a presence

. On the rumor mill, fans are hoping to hear news on other in-development DC projects, possibly from director James Gunn on The Suicide Squad spinoffs and Peacemaker season 2. On the far end, Snyderverse fandom is holding out a ray of hope for some positive sign. TIME: 10:15 – 11:15 AM PST.
Prime Video’s Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power
Meanwhile, LOTR nerds can look forward to a panel on The Rings of Power series with showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. The show’s 20-plus cast members are also among the guest list so it would be fair to expect questions regarding the show’s Second Age of Middle-Earth setting.
Prime Video has released a new promo that begins with Galadriel’s narration and a quick peek at the two trees of Valinor, an element from Tolkien’s lore that’s sure to impress fans. The teaser also shows Harfoots, the ancestors of Hobbits but what remains a mystery is the strange asteroid that brings an unexpected new face. The crater formation has major Sauron-Esque features. Hopefully, a longer version of a trailer is released during the panel.

The rest of the big players taking the Hall-H stage include Netflix’s The Sandman (2:30 – 3:30 PM), the Star Trek Universe for Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (12:45 – 2:15 PM). The Simpsons.
