Warner Bros has released a new Creed 2 featurette, titled “Sins of Our Fathers,” that tells everything about the film and its plot. The film basically revolves around four main characters- Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) and Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu).
The featurette clip recalls the events of Rocky IV, in which Apollo Creed, who substituted Rocky in a fight, got killed by Ivan Drago who was later defeated by Rocky in a devastating knockout. Apollo’s son Adonis is now ready to take the revenge of his father’s death by taking the fight into the ring with Ivan’s son Viktor. While there is a serious danger that Adonis could end up being killed in the same way his father was, he is fully determined to defeat his opponent.
The featurette also features Creed 2 director and actors throwing more light on the film’s background and storyline.
“Bringing back Ivan Drago and his son Viktor, and that history, that animosity, it just made it more intense,” Michael B. Jordan, who plays Adonis Creed, says in the clip.
“To see it played out, in a new generation with a new Drago and a new Creed, it was fantastic,” Sylvester Stallone says in the new featurette.
Creed 2 director Steven Caple Jr. revealed in the video clip that it was great reviving the iconic character of Ivan Drago in a way that felt fresh and new. You can check out the Creed 2 featurette below.
Michael recently also shared a new Creed 2 poster that features Adonis Creed facing against Viktor Drago with Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren having a stare down themselves. “Fight of the Century,” the actor captioned the poster.
Written by Sylvester Stallone and Cheo Hodari Coker (Luke Cage), Creed 2 is set to open in theaters on November 21.
