Yesterday, Warner Bros. released over 20 new stills from Creed 2. But the studio is clearly not yet done promoting the sequel which is set to hit theatres this Thanksgiving. More new stunning images from the movie have been released and surprisingly they also reveal moments from ‘The Fight of the Century’ between Viktor Drago and Adonis Creed.
The marketing by WB and MGM has been done cleverly to portray both fighters in a manner that makes it uncertain who would emerge as the winner. Moreover, there are also signs that Adonis might be fighting Viktor more than once in the sequel.
It’s clear that there are moments during the fight when the young creed is able to pack quite the punch against Viktor. But the Young Drago seems to be more powerful as one of the images also show him overpowering Creed and punching him against the corner of the ring.
From the looks of it, the ring that Adonis and Viktor are fighting has ad inscriptions in Russian which could mean that the fight is taking place in Viktor’s battleground. It would be quite an interesting scenario since Balboa was also faced with the same situation in Rocky IV and emerged victorious against Ivan Drago.
One of the images also shows Viktor knocked down and getting the countdown. But he clearly isn’t down for the count as he’s shown getting his feet back up.
Few other stills from Creed 2 show Adonis training underwater and alongside Rocky in the gym. You can check them out below.
It also looks like Rocky and Ivan might have there own rivalry going on in the side. But unlike Ivan, Rocky is worried aver history repeating again. A new teaser intro titled ‘Meet Adonis’ explains the young creed’s situation who is going up against one of the toughest opponents of his life while becoming a father to a daughter he had with Bianca played by Tessa Thompson.
Creed 2 will land in theatres on November 22.
