‘Black Lightning’: Jefferson Tries To Rekindle With His Ex-Wife in New Video

Black Lightning is all set to air its first episode this week on January 16th. Recently, The CW released another video featuring an interview with actress Christine Adams who plays as Lynn Pierce.

The female character is Jefferson Pierce’s ex-wife who holds shared custody of both their daughters. Moreover, she is one of the “only people” who is aware of his vigilante identity as Black Lightning.

Adams talks about Jefferson’ past life before the superhero decided to retire. Fans can check out the video below.

The footage reveals glimpses of scenes where it looks like Jefferson is trying to rekindle his relationship with his ex-wife. However, that might not be easy since his decision to come out retirement.

Black Lightning will be another addition to The CW’s list of DCTV shows. However, it has been hinted that the TV series wouldn’t necessarily use the same elements that fans have already come across in Supergirl and The Flash.

In an interview, Cress Williams also said that Black Lightning will look into real-life problems. From the teasers and promos, fans would already be aware that the superhero would be taking on the crime organization called the ‘100’.

A brief flashback scene in the video below shows Black Lightning in an exhausted and devastated state. In an earlier trailer, it reveals that the superhero is left in that state after taking on the ‘100’.

Since his retirement, Jefferson has been able to take care of his family. Unfortunately, it has, in turn, lead crime to rise in the city again. But the superhero’s return could involve some “family drama” as hinted by showrunner Salim Akil.

Black Lightning will premiere after the airing of The Flash. Fans can catch it at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. Stay Tuned with Pursue News for updates on Black Lightning and other DCTV series.
