The CW’s Riverdale and The Flash stole the limelight at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards which was held at The Forum in Inglewood, California, on Sunday. The two shows won 12 awards in total.
Hosted by Nick Cannon and Lele Pons, the event celebrated the achievers in the entertainment industry in the field of music, movies, television, and sports as voted by teens. The awards were given in the shape of a giant surfboard.
The American teen drama show, Riverdale, was the biggest winner of the night. The show won five awards including the Best Drama and Best Actor and Actress in Drama. Based on the characters of Archie Comics, Riverdale won in every category it was nominated in. The show did the same in the 2017 Teen Choice Awards. The Flash bagged awards including Choice Action TV Show and Choice Action TV Actor.

The third season of Riverdale is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 10 at 8 pm. The upcoming season is expected to pick up straight from season 2 end which saw Archie Andrews (Apa) arrested for a murder framed by Hiram Lodge (Consuelos) that he didn’t even commit.
The Flash season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, October 9, on The CW. A recently leaked picture from the show’s sets offered the first look at Grant Gustin’s new The Flash season 5 costume.
