Danny Elfman Reveals The Batman Theme Used For ‘Justice League’

Music Composer Danny Elfman, in a recent discussion, threw light into the type of tracks he will be using for Justice League. He revealed that he would be bringing back the classic theme music that he had originally created for Batman (1989).

During the 40+ years that he worked in the industry, Elfman’s work on Batman, directed by Tim Burton is the most recognized. His work in the film even won him a Grammy apart from bagging many other honors. Batman was his first big-budget blockbuster. After three decades of the film’s release, his Batman score is still being regarded as the definitive theme music of the Dark Knight.

Elfman replaced Junkie XL in June after Joss Whedon took over post-production directorial duties for Zack Snyder. During his talk with Reporte Indigo, the talented music director was asked if fans would get to hear a new theme for the Caped Crusader, or whether he would be including the work of Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL from the film Batman v Superman. Elman appeared a little amused with the question of using a different theme for the Dark Knight and replied laughingly, “you will hear Batman’s theme for Batman”.

While complimenting Hans Zimmer, who also did the score for the Dark Knight trilogy, Elfman made it clear that “Batman has only had one theme.” It is quite obvious from his statement that he views his works as the ‘best and only’ Batman tune.

Meanwhile, the music composer has already confirmed Wonder Woman theme by Hans Zimmer from Batman v Superman is in Justice League.

Warner Bros are busy promoting Justice League in various possible ways, and the statement by Elman comes in the midst of ‘Batman week’. This seven-day promotional campaign is designed specially to celebrate all that is dark and also tease new updates on The Dark Knight.

Just a day before, a new Justice League promo was released in which Ben Affleck stated that fans will now see “the evolution of a new Batman.”

Justice League is all set to take the box office by storm when it releases in theaters on November 17, 2017. The film will see the teaming of all the superheroes. The star-cast includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amber Heard as Mera, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Check out the discussion below, in which Danny Elfman confirms that he will not be using Zimmer/Junkie’s Batman material/theme.
