Sorry Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) fans but Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) seems to have found a new partner to fight his legal battles in Daredevil: Born Again. New information suggests his love interest, Kirsten Mcduffie (Nikki James) will also be his colleague/business partner in the upcoming series – further indicating Nelson and Murdock firm is no more.
Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson’s bromance while working together for their own law firm initiative might be one of the fan-favorite elements which won’t be carried over to MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again. While set photos showed Matt suited up in his lawyer attire – Murdock was spotted alongside Mcduffie instead of his best friend prompting doubt over Elden Henson‘s return.
It was reported in March that Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy would either be recast or not involved in the story being told in Daredevil: Born Again. The show apparently includes The Punisher for a considerable amount although the main plot is still under wraps. Since learning of Kirsten’s inclusion – Elektra’s appearance may have also been excised for the show.
Still, fans of Netflix’s Daredevil series are holding out hope over the possible reunion to run Nelson and Murdock. But according to insider CWGST, Matt Murdock and Kirsten Mcduffie will be working together at his new firm: Murdock & Associates”. It is unclear if the show would address the existence of Nelson and Murdock and if so, would it be a result of a fall-out between the two friends? Let’s hope not.

Foggy Nelson has been a pivotal character in Matt’s arc on the lines of Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) to Spider-Man or arguably more. While Charlie Cox also initially campaigned for the original cast’s return – it appears Kevin Feige may have other plans in store.
In more Daredevil news, another credible scooper has dropped exciting crumbs of details on the show’s main villain. DanielRPK says Muse will be the antagonist in the first part of the series. It was earlier noted the 18-episode order would be split and RPK has once backed that claim.
Who is Muse, Marvel’s serial killer?
Muse is one of the peculiar new class villains from Marvel lore and his first appearance was not long – debuting in Daredevil Vol. 5 #11 published on November 2016. A sociopath artist better known as a serial killer, who shows his work of art through gruesome violence.
Interestingly, Muse at one point also became a hurdle for NYC’s Mayor Wilson Wisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). the unhinged artist drew murals of vigilantes like Daredevil and Punisher in a good light supporting their actions as heroism. Perhaps some of the storylines from Muse’s debut comics could be adapted.
Born Again is expected to receive a TV-MA rating so casting a brutal serial killer known for leaving his crime scene with graphic imagery goes hand in hand. It will certainly be a unique new approach from Marvel Studios which has been critiqued for pulling punches in adapting a mature setting.
Muse will reportedly be the villain of the first part of ‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN’.
