Marvel Studios’ decision to retool Daredevil: Born Again appears to have paved the way for Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll‘s return. A new report reveals fans’ favorite supporting characters, Foggy Nelson & Karen Page from the Netflix adaptation are signed on to reprise their roles in some capacity. The Disney Plus reboot series is currently being overhauled by showrunner Dario Scardapane (known for The Punisher).
MCU fans can rest assured Foggy Nelson will not be killed off unlike the original script penned under head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman. According to Jeff Sneider, Henson and Ann Woll are returning for the new series though there is no information yet on if their characters are series regulars or brief appearances. It remains to be seen to what extent the existing footage would be repurposed to suit the new changes.
The series overhaul has reportedly added two extra episodes and a new pilot. While Moon Knight & Loki season 2’s directing duo Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead will direct the new episodes, the creatives will also utilize all the recorded footage to be repurposed for the final result.
Daredevil: Born Again is yet to land a release date but the original episode order will be split into two parts with nine episodes each. The recently released Echo series teases Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’onofrio) desire to run for office as the Mayor of NYC in the upcoming Disney Plus.

Interestingly, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen appearance in the Echo series has many fans convinced the Netflix arc of Matt Murdock is canon. While Frank Castle is expected to play a significant part in Born Again – the same cannot be said for the rest of Defenders according to the latest scoop from Daniel Richtman.
Jessica Jones was earlier rumored to have a part in the Daredevil series but it seems like the new showrunner may have other plans. Nonetheless, fans are urged to take this news with a grain of salt, especially with the current creatives at the drawing board redeveloping their plans.
