Dave Bautista Talks Returning For Avengers 4 & Guardians Of The Galaxy 3

While all the Guardians of the Galaxy superheroes except for Rocket, got crumbled to dust after Thanos snapped his fingers at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, at least one of them has confirmed that he will reappear in Avengers 4.

During a recent interview with Collider, actor Dave Bautista, who portrays the character of Drax, confirmed that he will be back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as well as the highly anticipated Avengers 4.

I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead,'” Bautista said. “They were really like heartbroken and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in four. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”

Bautista said that right now he has no clue as to how the Avengers 4 writers will bring his character back to life, but one thing that’s certain is that Drax is returning back. The actor’s statement might seem like a big Avengers 4 spoiler at this moment, but, he doesn’t think revealing the fact that he will be returning in both the future films is a big deal.

Bautista said that he had revealed that he had already filmed three and four even before the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

I’m not so concerned about giving any spoilers or giving anything away that Marvel would be mad because I said before, before the film even came out, that I’ve already filmed three and four, so I hope they won’t be p****d!” the Drax actor said. “And if they are, I’m gonna get an earful. I don’t know how they’re gonna put this all together. I don’t know how it’s gonna pan out and how it’s all going to turn out.”

It recently came to light that Avengers: Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely had initially planned to show Thanos’ iconic snap with the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers 4, and not for Avengers: Infinity War. But as they wanted the two films to be separate entities, they later decided to show the snap as the tragic end of Infinity War.

A new synopsis for Avengers 4 has also surfaced online. It hints at more sacrifices of lives to protect the world from the Mad Titan.

Avengers 4  is currently set to premiere in theatres on May 3, 2019.
