Dwayne Johnson’s tease for the DC Universe TV spot certainly lived up to its expectations offering a big chunk of teasing clips from Black Adam, a few new glimpses from Ezra Miller starrer The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Aside from featuring DC’s upcoming release The Batman from director Matt Reeves, the 60-second video offers a looked at every other DC title releasing this 2022 with Black Adam’s new footage at the front and center. The teaser shows Aldis Hodge as Hawkman donning his shining armor, Pierce Brosman’s first look as Dr.Fate and Noah Cerntineo as Atom Smasher, in all his glory. The ending shot also shows Dr. Fate holding the helmet of Nabuu in his hand and offering Black Adam a chance to join the Justice Society.

For those unaware, Dr. Fate is DC’s Doctor Strange, the strongest magician in DC Universe with mysterious powers that grant him the ability to open trans dimensional portals & more. Yet it’s still unclear what magical powers could be explored in the character’s live-action portrayal.

The DC Films clip also featured The Flash movie and gave another look at Ezra Miller’s speedster suit and a new add-on, retractable lenses. Furthermore, DCEU fandom has also indicated the costume’s resemblance to Grant Gustin’s from The CW series. It gets more interesting due to the two speedster’s short meeting in the Crisis on Infinite Earths arc.

One 2022 DC title that didn’t appear in the video is DC’s animated League of Super Pets releasing on May 20^th. Black Adam arrives this July 29^th in theatres while the course correcting multiverse flick, The Flash is scheduled for November 4^th. And Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set for December 16^th.
