This January, Warner Bros. Discovery could any day unveil the date for their DCU Bible announcement going by the recent update from DC Studios boss James Gunn. But before DCEU fans jump ahead expecting details on the entire 10-year-plan including the next actor donning the red cape for the new version of Superman – the multimedia franchise’s co-CEO has clarified that not all movies from their roadmap would be part of the initial reveal.
The chaotic landscape changes at WBD with the DCU brand seems to be settling down yet fans and pundits are still wondering if the entire DCEU cast could be canned. While it still remains unclear, Gunn was recently quick to debunk a report from Variety claiming Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman would not be part of the first three years of DCU.
In the same interaction, the DCU’s architect also addressed a fan query regarding the studio being reportedly open to keeping Ezra Miller after The Flash. The two-parter question then quizzed if Gunn’s slate only consists of three years worth of projects. The director claimed he did not know the details regarding what was written about Ezra by the trade but clarified that “our slate is 8 to 10 years”.
I don’t know what’s out there about Ezra but our slate is 8 to 10 years (but we will only be announcing some of it this month).

I hereby debunk it (only because it’s not true). pic.twitter.com/tlKSaqxsE7

James Gunn further stated that “some of it[projects]” from the DC Bible would be announced this month. Earlier the director had assured that fans would not have to wait until SDCC 2023 for a slate reveal so there also remains the likelihood of the virtual DC FanDome event being revived.
With DCU Phase 1 expected to be unveiled this January, it could also shine a light on the Snyderverse characters which are potentially jumping aboard Gunn’s inter-connected universe. Gunn demystifying Wonder Woman’s exclusion from DCU’s initial slate indicates there may be other ideas in store for Diana Prince’s arc. However, one aspect that remains clear is Dwayne Johnson‘s Black Adam is not the priority rather this privilege goes to DC’s trinity. Surprisingly, Miller even amidst his 2022’s antics could hold on to his speedster role which is an indication of the Snyder universe influencing the new era.
