Could Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill team up again and in this case, for Man of Steel 2? That seems to be the signal some DCEU fans have construed after the Batman v Superman director conveyed a special message for Cavill during his much-anticipated interview with Josh Horowitz.
The cape was in his closet all along! Cavill finally opened up about his return as Superman, which was featured in the recently released DC Film, Black Adam. A nostalgic experience since he chose to don the Man of Steel costume for his filming at the Warner Bros. lot in the UK. While the plans for The Man of Tomorrow are back on, the DCU fandom has quite a lot of queries regarding the studio’s ideas for a Superman 2 movie. Moreover, all eyes are on the potential filmmakers and writers in consideration for the second installment.
Cavill’s one-on-one interview with Horowitz for the Happy Sad Confused podcast was briefly interrupted by a video clip from Zack Snyder, the director is currently filming the ambitious Netflix project, Rebel Moon. The Army of the Dead helmer had a question for the Superman star, making him take a trip down memory lane but the takeaway moment was when Snyder said, “I can’t wait to work with you in the future and you’re, of course, the greatest Superman ever.”
Zack Snyder mentioning his intention to work again with Cavill has piqued fans’ curiosity if the director was teasing his potential team-up for the Man of Steel sequel. Though Cavill denied addressing any question related to the sequel project for all the right reasons, it’s not stopping the fans from speculating further. During the interview, one attendee even shouts Restore the Snyderverse and Cavill just chuckles in response. Readers can check it out below.
That time @ZackSnyder dropped in and said a surprise hello to Henry Cavill. A really special moment during my #happysadconfused at @92ndStreetY with Henry.

WB’s recent hiring of James Gunn as the DC Studios CEO has many hopeful for the continuation of Snyderverse. Particularly due to Gunn’s relationship with Zack Snyder which goes back to Dawn of the Dead. Even so, The Witcher star’s desire to “tell a story with an enormously joyful Superman” has some fans skeptical if it would align with Snyder’s method of storytelling.
