Zack Snyder’s Justice League fans are making the final effort for their pipedream, to see the Snyderverse fulfilled on another streaming service even while James Gunn‘s DCU Bible is just days from being unveiled to the world. The Snyder cut followers are pinning their hopes on WBD selling Zack Snyder’s Justice League to Netflix. A new hashtag called #SellZSJLtoNetflix, which has gained quite a traction on Twitter – is sadly being seen as a lost cause even by some of the director’s staunch fans.
Fans of the DC Extended Universe have a new movement to support – to see the Snyderverse sold to Netflix. The hashtag continued to trend this weekend and the reason seems to be connected to the Batman v Superman director’s fruitful relationship with the streaming network which has his fanbase convinced it’s the perfect studio to see Snyderverse explored to its fullest. Though not all Snyder fans seem to be on board with this growing movement, as can be seen in the reactions below.
From the looks of it, a section of Zack Snyder’s Justice League fans seems to be under the presumption WBD could sell off the franchise to another streaming service. That hope could be stemming from the fact that the studio is reportedly shopping its DC animated series from Bruce Timm and Matt Reeves, Batman: Caped Crusader to interested buyers (streaming services). Moreover, Netflix’s Sandman is one such property that Warners decided to sell to Netflix when their sibling network, HBO declined the offer to produce the show.
Unfortunately, with James Gunn dropping every hint that the upcoming DC Bible would not be a blanket reset, it’s looking extremely likely that his DCU would be built on the grave of Snyder’s DCEU. In addition, some characters like Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman and surprisingly, Ezra Miller‘s The Flash could be leading this new interconnected universe.

Warners’ current execs are unlikely to entertain the idea of their main timeline characters appearing in an Elseworld franchise, especially with the studio boss David Zaslav clarifying his intention to utilize DC’s trinity whilst reducing multiple iterations of these powerhouse characters like Batman. Meanwhile, Snyder also has a busy schedule with Netflix as he continues to work on Rebel Moon, an original property inspired by Akira Kurosawa‘s Samurai flicks – teased to be setting off a franchise of its own.
Some insiders and fans believe a Crisis on Infinite Earths-Esque arc could be at play though these can only be called speculations at the moment. With some titles from DC Studios’ Phase 1 expected to be showcased at some point this month, it could shed more light on where the new DCU leaves the existing story elements.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is currently available to stream on HBO Max.
