Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) does not pull his punches in fights as revealed in the new extended footage showcased during a fan event in Mexico. The upcoming DCEU origin story will introduce the anti-hero powered by the same mystical abilities that granted Billy Batson the power of Shazam. But unlike the World’s Mightiest Mortal, Teth-Adam deals with his opponents by granting them a gruesome death.
Promotions are ramped up for Black Adam with The Rock currently in Mexico City where Warner Bros. held a fan event and showcased an extended scene from the first act. The clip opens showing a band of soldiers shooting with automatic rifles at Teth-Adam but he remains unflinching, as revealed in the earlier official trailer. But the Mighty Adam goes the extra mile to put them out of their misery.
A soldier’s decapitated arm drops to the floor after Black Adam throws his body at another armed threat. The video features more instant kills by Black Adam as he proceeds to engage two attack helicopters and crashes them into each other. The visuals are surprising for a PG-13 movie.
Speaking at the Mexico Fan event, Johnson also hinted at another super-powered character making their debut in Black Adam. “Pay attention to the ones who aren’t superheroes yet” From the looks of it, it seems to be Sarah Shahi‘s Adrianna Tomaz. The actress even retweeted the video shared by the fan page which indicated it would be Shahi. Readers can check it out below.

Warner Bros. has so far bravely marketed Black Adam as a character with no morals or at least not like the principles that make Hawkman and the rest of JSA the heroes. With the above trailer outright confirming Black Adam has no remorse for his enemies, all that remains is for DC to introduce the only powerhouse that can stand a chance against Teth-Adam, its Henry Cavill’s Superman appearance and if rumors turn out to be true, it may be a treat set for the film’s post-credits scene.
Black Adam arrives in theaters on October 21.
