Since Deadpool 2 began filming in Vancouver, fans have come across various set photos that have given a glimpse of what to expect in the sequel. Recently, a new set photo shows Josh Brolin as Cable and it looks like the superhero is prepping for an intense battle going by his shopping list.
YVRshoots tweeted the new set photo which reveals Brolin’s Cable pushing a shopping cart filled with automatic rifles and ammunition. Furthermore, going by the picture, the cyborg superhero seems to be in a hurry as well. Fans can check it out below.
An earlier photo posted by the same Twitter account revealed that Vancouver’s Army & Navy store was used during filming. The picture featuring Brolin’s Cable also seems to have been shot at the same location. Furthermore, fans can also notice the Mutant Response Division squad car beside the store.
It’s possible that this scene features an intense action sequence between Cable and the Mutant Response Division. But going by the images, Cable seems to be packed with enough guns and ammunition to escape or even take out the squad.
For those unaware, Mutant Response Division is an organization that hunts down and captures mutants. Their existence was confirmed thanks to an earlier photo of a DMC transport vehicle.
This will be Brolin’s first appearance as Cable in Fox’s Marvel-based Deadpool 2. But fans are also expecting to see the actor’s portrayal of Thanos for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War which hits theatres on May 4th, 2018.
Deadpool 2 hits the big screen on June 1st, 2018. The film will be introducing Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz as Domino.
