Deadpool 2 Trailer Has A Surprise Cameo Of The 44th US President

The highly awaited trailer of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 2 is finally out. The 2-minute-39-second-long trailer offers better looks of Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beets’ Domino. The trailer starts with Wade Wilson’s alter ego, Deadpool, running away from a mob and crash landing into a taxi.

The trailer shows a powerful Cable, played by Josh Brolin, who wants to kill a mutant kid (Julian Dennison). In order to stop him, Deadpool assembles a team that he calls the X-Force, which he freely admits is a derivative name, with a bunch of mutants (from the prequel) as well as some new entrants. The team likely consists of Domino, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), IT star Bill Skarsgård, Terry Crews, Shatterstar and a purple-haired X-Man with an electric chain (Shioli Kutsuna).

Interestingly, there’s also a small cameo in the film by none other than Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States. If you look at the trailer carefully, you will find that President Obama’s White House portrait is present on the wall in the shot where Wade Wilson is messing around in Professor Xavier’s chair at the X-Mansion.

Notably, President Obama isn’t physically present in the film. But the trailer showcasing his portrait confirms that both he and President Abraham Lincoln exist in Fox’s Deadpool universe. You can check out the trailer below.

Talking more about Deadpool 2, the film has generated better test screening scores than the original Deadpool movie. It is reported that the movie has received as high as 98 in recent test screenings as compared to the original Deadpool film which received the highest test screening score of 91. However, getting a good test screening score doesn’t really imply that the movie is going to perform well at the box office.

We will get to see the highly anticipated Deadpool 2 when it lands in theaters on May 18th.
