Now that the highly awaited Deadpool 2 teaser is finally out, fans are quite excited to know more about the film’s plot and star cast. The trailer featured Zazie Beetz’s Domino as well as Terry Crews possibly as G.W. Bridge. Iron Fist‘s Lewis Tan is also a part of Deadpool 2‘s cast playing the role of Shatterstar.
A Twitter user who goes by name of HELLB0YS shared a side by side picture of Iron Fist actor Lewis Tan and Shatterstar from the trailer. Tan’s picture also showed his Twitter activity that indicates that he might be a part of the film’s cast. What’s interesting to note is that Shatterstar in the trailer does resemble Tan. But this doesn’t confirm that Lewis Tan is indeed a part of Deadpool 2.
However, the fact that Tan liked multiple Shatterstar related images on Twitter and that he also follows Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, the sequel’s director David Leitch and cast member Terry Crews on social media hints that the actor might be a part of the upcoming Deadpool sequel.
Furthermore, in November, Tan revealed on Twitter that he recently worked with Crews on a project. Crews and Tan have never worked on the same project before, and Deadpool 2 wrapped in October. Putting all the evidence together, it is highly likely that Tan is indeed playing Shatterstar. Lewis Tan’s inclusion in Deadpool 2 is yet to be confirmed.
Ryan Reynolds recently shared a new teaser poster for the movie on Twitter. The new poster is it re-creates the famous scene from the 1983 drama-romance Flashdance. The poster shows Deadpool being showered with shell casings.
“Take your passion. And make it happen. #Deadpool,” Reynolds captioned the new poster.
The untitled Deadpool sequel, which is directed by David Leitch and stars Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, and Morena Baccarin in the lead roles, will hit screens on May 18, 2018.
