Director James Gunn Wanted To Make A Hulk/Red Hulk Film For MCU

James Gunn has proven to have a knack for making the best comic book movies under Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Director’s last title Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was another blockbuster hit and has also managed to sway the studio to allow him to helm the 3rd installment.

Gunn’s ability to produce blockbuster film was also noticed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. It was revealed that the director had almost full creative control during the making of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

While Gunn has shared his love in helming Guardians of the Galaxy series, recently, the director also revealed his interest of directing other movies under MCU. Here’s what he had to say.

During his Q&A session on Facebook, James Gunn revealed that he was interested in making a spinoff for the green beast Avenger. “I wanted to do Hit Monkey. Like REALLY wanted to do it. I was also interested in doing a Hulk/Red Hulk film,” wrote Gunn.

It was earlier rumored that the Red Hulk would appear in Captain America: Civil War. However, not even the green beast played by Mark Ruffalo had a screen time in the film.

In the Q&A, Gunn also addressed various other queries regarding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, filmmaking, screenplay writing and more. Many fans were thrilled to interact with him and were quite hyped to hear his progress with the 3rd Guardians film.

In more Guardians of The Galaxy News, the director also gave an update on Vol. 3’s list of the soundtrack. James Gunn revealed that he currently has it down to 181 songs. Furthermore, he also stated that the “list could get longer.” Fans can check out his tweet below.
