Disney Plus watchlist for this month has been unveiled and although MCU fans in India will have Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye weekly episodes to look out for, some titles may be missing on Hotstar in comparison to the Disney-owned OTT platform operating in the US, UK and other regions. But the bigger question on K-drama fans’ minds continues to remain, will Snowdrop release as per schedule?
December is here and with it, OTT platforms have updated their library adding new movie and TV titles for viewers to enjoy this Holiday season. However, some disappointment is already brewing among Disney Plus Hotstar subscribers in India due to a few exclusions.
UPDATE on 20/12/2021: The Last Duel is now available to stream on Disney Plus
FEB 2022: Snowdrop is available to stream on Disney Plus hotstar
For starters, Ridley Scott’s recently released controversial historical film, The Last Duel starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver and Ben Affleck is not yet available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar. The title is already up for streaming in other regions such as UK as per the scheduled release on December 1.

It’s unclear when The Last Duel will be updated to the platform as Hotstar’s help account response remains vague. K-drama fans have also queried for an announcement regarding Snowdrop, the much anticipated Korean series featuring BLACKPINK’S Jisoo. As usual, the response states, “Kindly stay tuned for more updates on this.”

Snowdrop is set to debut on December 18 at 10:30 PM KST on JTBC. If the show releases at the same time in India, it would be at 7:00 PM IST, but there is no confirmation yet if it would drop on Disney Plus. The streaming giant hasn’t made any recent announcement related to the Korea show as well.
Earlier in October, the Disney Plus Hotstar in Malaysia confirmed Snowdrop is coming to the platform in a sneak peek post. Snowdrop is based on a real-life memoir of a man who escaped North Korea’s prison camp and centers over a love story between two characters (played by Jung Hae-in as Soo-ho and Jisoo as Eun Young-ro) amidst South Korea’s June Democratic Struggle.
