Disney Plus Series ‘Loki’ & ‘WandaVision’ Working Title, Production Details Reportedly Revealed

Earlier this week at the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took to stage to share a glimpse of their set forth plans for upcoming series’ such as Loki and WandaVision. Fortunately, it looks like the studio won’t be slowing down anytime soon as both TV shows have their premiere dates set for sometime in 2021.

A new listing from Film magazine Production Weekly states that Disney plus’ Loki series has received the working title “BIG RED” and is expected to begin principal photography in late-January 2020 in Atlanta.

WandaVision series has got the working title, “RIVER CRUISE” and is also expected to begin production in January 2020 in Atlanta. If faced with no hurdles, there’s the possibility that Disney plus could premiere the two projects simultaneously.

At D23 Expo, it was explained that the Loki series will answer where the God of Mischief went after stealing the Tesseract in the events of Avengers: Endgame. Though actor Tom Hiddleston wasn’t present at the event–he did appear on video and explained to fans that the show would answer questions of, “Where did Loki go after he picked up the Tesseract? Could Loki make a friend? Will the sun shine on him again?”

Loki series director Kate Herron later confirmed on stage that fans will get the answer to those questions through six hour-long episodes.

WandaVision series would see the return of Kat Dennings from Thor franchise and Randall Park from Ant-Man and the Wasp. Teyonah Parris is set to play as the adult version of Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel and Kathryn Hahn’s role described as a ‘Noisy Neighbour’ for the series.

It was also unveiled at San Diego Comic-con this year that WandaVision series would serve as a prequel to the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which Elizabeth Olsen is set to appear opposite to Benedict Cumberbatch. for now, you can check out the early concept art design for the series by Andy Park.
