Doctor Strange 2 – Durex Condom makes a hilarious NSFW ad in Multiverse of Madness theme

Durex India is at it again with its Pop Culture movie-themed adverts and this time it’s Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness that has influenced their creative new Condom advertorial. The MCU-inspired ad comes as Doctor Strange 2 looks to beat its projected $300 million opening weekend earning at the global box office.

Taking advantage of the ongoing success of Doctor Strange 2, Durex India has created a Multiverse of Madness-themed ad for their Mutual Climax condoms. A new photo was released showing a condom-Esque circular symmetry and around it, is the protective shield known as Tao Mandala, the magic spell commonly used by the Masters of the Mystic Arts (Benedict Cumberbatch) to shield against attacks. The sub-headline says, “Explore the Multiverse of Madness” and below it with a small text, “with no ‘Strange’ Outcomes. Additionally, the hilarious caption also states, “For a reality altering experience!” Well, it’s hard to argue with Durex’s choice of element since Tao Mandala has certainly protected sorcerers of Kamar-Taj against bigger forces to say the least. Readers can check it out below.

This isn’t the first time the Condom manufacturers have taken inspiration from DC films and MCU movies to promote their products. In fact, the condom manufacturers raised eyebrows in August 2019 after creating an NSFW ad for the R-rated Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix. In the same month, Durex struck again with another ad giving their take on Sony-Marvel Studios’ temporary split from producing Spider-Man films together.

Aside from Durex India trying to get in on the Doctor Strange 2 success for its own benefit, Marvel Studios’ latest title from Sam Raimi has aided the theatre industry in bouncing back from the pandemic era. With ticket sales going as high as $90 million since Friday night, the movie is on road to earn $198.8M-$200M opening weekend in domestic, as Deadline estimates.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is out in theatres.
