Doctor Strange 2 fans want Anson Mount to play Black Bolt for MCU’s Earth 616

Anson Mount seems to have redeemed himself as Black Bolt after appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fans are currently campaigning for his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with many hoping Marvel Studios soft reboot ABC’s Inhumans series to retain Mount as the King of Inhumans.

Doctor Strange 2 exploring Earth-838’s Illuminati as a result of Wanda’s (Elizabeth Olsen) interference in the Multiverse has many excited for what lies ahead in Phase 4, possibly setting up a Secret Wars adaptation – the next big “Infinity Saga” type culmination. But currently, a big road lies ahead with the main continuity yet to establish the Fantastic Four as well as Inhumans. Though the latter’s earlier iteration was as big as a failure as Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four – seeing Black Bolt in a new light has made him a fan favorite. Readers can check out reactions below.

Marvel is on a roll in reviving superhero characters that were once considered a failed adaptation, like Andrew Garfield’s Amazing Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The tick, tick…BOOM! star’s performance in Jon Watts’ Spidey threequel convinced fans enough to start a whole new movement (MakeTASM3) to see his character’s arc completed. Prior, MCU pundits were pushing for the revival of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Marvel Studios/Sony flabbergasted viewers with a surprising brief cameo of Cox’s Matt Murdock in No Way Home.

It’s fair to say the studio has been hearing fans’ pleas and delivering what they desire, if not, John Krasinski’s Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic may never come to fruition. One can only hope Kevin Feige is all ears to audiences’ wish to see Mount’s Black Bolt in Earth-616. But recent signs suggest there may be no plans to explore Inhumans at present, especially since the upcoming Ms. Marvel series is skipping the character’s connection to the Kree race.

Mount recently earned praises for his performance as Captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Though his rising popularities is making fans revisit the star’s past shows like Hell On Wheels.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently in theatres.
