Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Anson Mount had the least screen time as Black Bolt but it seems his rehearsal for the role still required him to undergo stunt choreography. A new video shared by the Star Trek star shows him strapped onto the stunt wire system and dropped from the ceiling. From the looks of it, the actor is rehearsing his superhero landing.
Mount reprising Black Bolt in Doctor Strange 2 has more than just redeemed the adaptation he portrayed in ABC’s bombed TV run, Inhumans. Although his character is quickly killed off by Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) during her battle against the Illuminati, MCU fans are still hoping to see him play the main version for Earth-616. Although there’s no word on Black Bolt’s future, Mount instead had a bonus material from the making of Multiverse of Madness to offer. He also offered his gratitude to the stunt team producer Richard Palmer. Readers can check it out below.
First “Dr. Strange” rehearsal: landing nailed. Thanks to the incredible stunt team and to producer Richie Palmer for making me feel so welcome so quickly… despite the wedgie. #DoctorStrange #MultiverseOfMadness #BlackBolt #stunts @Marvel pic.twitter.com/ClShgS7TGO

Earlier this week, the actor expressed his experience from getting the call from Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige to working with director Sam Raimi. While he remained grateful to have had the chance to play the Inhumans leader for the big screen, fanatics are insisting Marvel soft reboot the show to retain his character.
Finally able to discuss this w/out providing too many spoilers. Getting the call from @Kevfeige was one of the most unexpected of my life. It was an honor & joy to finally work w/ Sam Raime who reached out to engage me on how best to do this. Beyond grateful for the experience 🤯 pic.twitter.com/aRIwr8A4E7

Many MCU pundits are already speculating Wanda’s bloodshed in Earth 838 will result in drastic consequences with the heroes of that universe even seeking revenge for the death of their King, the Inhumans of Attilan, and the mutants for killing the founder of X-Men, Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), etc. It could be the start of Marvel’s setup for Secret Wars. Marvel has time and again proven they could surprise audiences by bringing back fan-favorite adaptations (Daredevil is one of them). One can only hope Mount falls in the same category.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently in theatres.
