With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness nearing its release, Marvel Studios has officially kick-started its press tour in Berlin, Germany. Furthermore, several new promos featuring main stars such as Benedict Cumberbatch have taken the internet by storm, especially one particular commercial from this week with a Spider-Man easter egg, starring Benedict Wong’s Wong in collaboration with Tide, a laundry detergent brand.
Marvel Studios seems to be betting big on Doctor Strange 2, arguably on an Avengers: Endgame level scale. With all the hype surrounding Multiverse of Madness’s (MOM) cameos like Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and other X-Men characters, advance screenings were ruled out to avoid further leaks. But luckily, fans can hear tidbits of information from the sequel’s title stars themselves namely Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen along with director Sam Raimi. The cast and crew were spotted posing for the photocall at the Ritz Carlton Hotel this Thursday, JustJared reports.

Oddly, Thor: Love and Thunder began its press tour before MOM earlier this month and prior to its trailer release. The fourth installment from Chris Hemsworth won’t arrive till July, likely after Doctor Strange 2’s theatre run. In more news, promotional banners have begun popping up in the US with a few new banners taking over JFK tunnel in New York. On the social media realm, BossLogic has unveiled a new poster featuring the master of mystic arts. Additionally, he even teased an alternate evil Strange version of the poster as well. Readers can check it out below.

The second installment will explore MCU’s Pandora’s box i.e. the multiverse, a reality-altering event introduced in Spider-Man: No Way Home after Stephen cast a forbidden spell. The repercussions also include the Sorcerer Supreme protecting teaming up with MCU newcomer, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrives in theatres on May 6, 2022.
