Last year, Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill shocked the world by revealing that the two would possibly play roles side by side in an upcoming DC film. While the rumors continued, The Rock’s meeting with Geoff Johns and others at DC assured fans that the actor would have an announcement soon.
Recently, Johnson was interviewed by Fandango as part of his promotion for the upcoming release of Baywatch. During his talk, the actor confirmed that his standalone Black Adam movie is all set to move ahead. Furthermore, he also revealed that he has had “great conversations with Geoff Johns and everyone over at DC.”
As talks over his DC film progressed, Johnson gave fans one of the most awaited scoops of the year. the actor revealed that he would get the opportunity to put Henry Cavill’s Superman down for the count soon. He confirmed to Fandango that steps to make that happen are currently underway.
“One fine day.. that’s coming,” said Johnson. “That’s in the cards.” Fans can watch the actor talk about at Fandango’s video interview.
Currently, fans are expecting his upcoming film Baywatch. Dwayne Johnson plays as Mitch Buchannon, a lifeguard. Actor Zac Efron plays as Matt Brody- teamed up with The Rock.
The Rock has been signed on to play as Black Adam for over a decade. Initially, the actor was set to play as the villain in DCEU’s Shazam movie. But since then, the growth of the actor’s popularity has given him the opportunity to play the main lead in his own standalone film.
