Eternals BTS stills show Lia McHugh & Lauren Ridloff draped in saree attire for Indian wedding scene

Eternals star Lia McHugh has shared some of her favorite behind-the-scenes stills from the new ensemble MCU f lick, and the first photo in particular caught most fans eye after showing a different look at Harry Styles’ Eros. Added, the 16-year-old actress also revealed a BTS image of herself in character as Sprite and Lauren Ridloff’s Makkari draped in saree.

Marvel Studios went big on cultural representation after including several major Indian references in the recently released Eternals One scene, in particular, which showed Richard Madden’s Ikaris and Gemma Chan’s Sersi in wedlock, but following India’s Hindu tradition. The entire ensemble was dressed appropriately in saree with Madden’s Ikaris donning a kurta while Salma Hayek’s Ajak in blue Ghaghra choli.

The new image shows a closer look at McHugh’s Sprite and Ridloff’s Makkari draped in saree together, posing for the selfie. Readers can check it out below by scrolling through the gallery of images on Instagram.

Harry Styles wearing different attire in the Eternals BTS has also got some fans wondering if the actor filmed more scenes as Eros. If true, it’s possible to end up in the Home Entertainment version.

Eternals gave away a big reveal at the end after surprising fans with Harry Styles’ intro as Eros, another Titan from the Marvel Universe dubbed as Starfox. As introduced in the climactic scene, the DUNKIRK actor plays the character who was brother to Thanos. But it’s unclear when the new cosmic character could next pop up in MCU Phase 4. In any case, this marks the second major role for the actor and yet again acclaimed by fans as well.

As of its third-week theatrical run, Eternals has raked over $200.3M overseas and $336.1M worldwide. The Marvel film has comparatively performed better internationally than its domestic box office.

Eternals is currently in theatres worldwide. Fans can also watch Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings on Disney Plus on IMAX enhanced format.
