‘Excluded Ray Fisher’s Cyborg’ – WBD’s Max streaming service faces backlash for not including this Justice league member, studio reportedly adds DCEU character following criticism

The exclusion of Ray Fisher‘s Cyborg during the initial launch of WBD’s Max streaming service was met with extreme backlash from the Snyderverse fans. The newly launched OTT (sans the HBO title) will include content from Discovery+ as well as Warner Bros. film being the house for DC Universe & many more. However, instead of keeping the focus on the Max service’s ad-free and premium plans, excluding the character that was the heart of Zack Snyder’s Justice League has the Rebel Moon actor & boycott WBD keyword trending on social media.

From characters in the Justice League Unlimited to DCTV’s Titans series – DC Comics-based icons from all live-action and animated adaptations were available as profile avatars on Max service. But to Snyder fans’ surprise – Ray Fisher’s Cyborg was nowhere to be seen. The omission of Fisher while HBO Max’s Titans character Victor Stone remained was seen by many as a response to WB’s fractured relationship with the actor.

Even prior to the ongoing reboot of DC Extended Universe – Ray Fisher was vocal about his decision to not reprise as Victor Stone unless Warner Bros. offered an apology for the mistreatment he received on the Justice League reshoots set under Joss Whedon. The ZSJL star also accused the then President of Warner Bros. Pictures Walter Hamada for their handling of the investigation.

Since then, Ray has butted heads with the current DC Studios head James Gunn as well. So many fans on social media have presumed the missing roaster profile for Ray Fisher’s Cyborg is a result of the timeline of controversy that began post the release of Justice League.

Ray Fisher’s Cyborg fans react to WBD’s Max updating profile avatar following criticism

Several Ray Fisher stans even pointed out the inclusion of The Flash movie star Ezra Miller in the Max roaster although they faced a barrage of controversial allegations against them. WBD’s MAX, for its part, has now included Cyborg under Justice League’s profile avatar, possibly due to the criticism that followed, as Streamr Entertainment also notes. Though a few insisted it could have also been a technical glitch since it’s a newly launched app. Readers can check it out below.

WBD’s Max service app is available in the US with a three-tier plan ranging from Max ad-lite, Max ad-free and Max Ultimate ad-free.
