Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will soon be heading to London to resume filming Animal, the anticipated dark thriller directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The 40-year actor is currently on a promo tour for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar though that didn’t stop the star from expressing his excitement about working alongside the Kabir Singh filmmaker.
After delivering an adventurous blockbuster on the likes of RRR with Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to grace the big screens with a rom-com title, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar directed by Luv Ranjan. While discussing his character from the romedy flick, “I play the character of Miki, somebody who believes in true love” – Ranbir also addressed a question related to Animal, which held an exhilarating production wrap party in the last week of February.
While addressing PursueNews’ journalist during the Q&A, Ranbir revealed, “We still have around 30 days of work left. We finished the Delhi schedule, we are going to London in mid-march.” The star spoke highly about his collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga stating, “It’s a character I’ve never ever, even in my dreams imagined somebody would offer me a character like this”
Ranbir’s elegant yet rugged bearded look for Animal was revealed in January in a leaked set video, during the filming in Delhi. Staying in tune with the first look poster – fans were excited to know the feature would have a gangster-Esque setting. The announcement video from 2021 for the film teased a story centering over Ranbir and Anil Kapoor‘s father-son dynamic whilst also assuring a guns-blazing action drama.

In regards to when fans could expect a teaser for Animal, the Bollywood star said Reddy Vanga would release a first teaser “very soon”. Animal is scheduled to release on August 11. Moreover, the Bollywood feature’s producer Bhushan Kumar has already confirmed a dubbing in Telugu and Tamil since the project’s helmer is known for his titles like Arjun Reddy and Rashmika Mandanna, who is also quite known for her south Indian roles.
Brahmastra, a visually pleasing sci-fantasy adventure that gained as much buzz as SS Rajamouli‘s RRR in India – was a success at the box office. Nonetheless, the Ayan Mukerji-helmed project still stumbled during the premiere week with a shaky audience reception and critic praise. After Animal, Ranbir Kapoor is expected to tackle Brahmastra 2.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will hit theaters on March 8.
