Concept artist Jerad S.Marantz has shared a new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice concept art which shows a prototype of Ezra Miller’s Flash costume.
“My very first pass on Flash for Batman v Superman,” Marantz captioned the photo on Instagram. “You can see the full body in the bonus features on the DVD. Because this was going to be a prototype suit the bolt wasn’t included in this option.”
The early version of the suit looks more simple and streamlined as compared to the final design which ended up being in Batman v Superman and Justice League. As it’s a prototype suit it doesn’t have the character’s chest emblem, which is the lightning motif.

Notably, Ezra Miller’s cameo in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad as the speedster drew mixed reactions from fans. But, the actor’s performance in Justice League fetched him all the love and praises from the audiences. While the film itself failed at the box office, the Flash grabbed the attention it deserved. It even convinced Warner Bros. and DC Films to give a green light to a standalone Flash movie.
As per recent reports, The Flash movie will begin principal photography in February next year. The production is set to take place in Leavesden, England, and in Atlanta, Georgia. The production and filming is rumored to wrap up by May of 2019.
Some of the actors who are already confirmed to show up in the film include Ezra Miller reprising as The Flash, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Billy Crudup as Barry’s Father, Henry Allen. More casting announcements are likely to be made soon.
The Flash movie is currently being helmed by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein. Zack Snyder along with Deborah Snyder, Alex Gartner, Richard Suckle, Geoff Johns, Dan Mazer, Phil Lord, Denise Di Novi, Christopher Miller, and Jon Berg are all on board as producers for the project.
The Flash doesn’t have a release date attached yet, but, if all goes as planned, the film will likely get a release sometime in 2020.
