Fan Art Reimagines Actor Zac Efron & Keanu Reeves As X-Men’s Wolverine

Actor Hugh Jackman, who debuted as the iconic character Wolverine back in 2000’s X-Men, played the character for well over a decade. Now that Jackman has confirmed his retirement from the role of Wolverine, fans have begun coming up with names of actors who they feel are capable of stepping into the shoes of the angry X-men mutant with iconic claws.

The latest artwork coming from popular digital artist BossLogic imagines actor Zac Efron in the role of Wolverine. The artwork shows an impressive transformation of Efron into the fan-favorite X-Men character. You can check out the artwork below.

Well, Efron isn’t the only actor BossLogic imagined in the role. A few days ago, the artist created another artwork imagining John Wick actor Keanu Reeves in the X-Men character. He also went on to tease fans that they should also expect Nicolas Cage’s Wolverine version coming soon.

The other day I posted #keanureeves as #wolverine and a few commented they only want @ZacEfron. I’m pretty sure they were trolling but I still did it, it was a toss up between him and a nic cage Logan edit… I still want to do a nic cage one,” BossLogic captioned the Zac Efron Wolverine artwork.

The artwork followed Reeves revelation that he would like to play Wolverine in a post-Jackman era. During an interview with ScreenGeek conducted earlier this month, with ScreenGeek, when the interviewer asked Reeves who would he like to play Batman or Wolverine. The John Wick actor replied saying he would love to play Wolverine.

“Of the two, I’d love to play Wolverine,” Reeves said.

As far as Efron’s casting as the X-men mutant is concerned, there’s currently no information suggesting the same. It is expected that the Disney/Fox deal might see various X-Men and Fantastic Four characters being recast and rebooted for inclusion within Marvel Studios’ MCU franchise.

Efron will next appear in the upcoming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile as the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. The film will premiere next month at the Sundance Film Festival.
