Fans love Stranger Things 4 newcomers Joseph Quinn’s Eddie, Audrey Holcomb’s Eden, Eduardo Franco’s Argyle & more

From Chrissy (Grace Van Dien) to Eddie (Joseph Quinn), the newcomers of Stranger Things 4 have caught fans off guard, especially Audrey Holcomb who briefly appears as Eden in Stranger Things season 4 episode 6. But her short role alongside another fan-favorite new face, Eduardo Franco as Argyle has left many viewers hoping to see more of the newbies in Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1

The first episode of Stranger Things season 4 introduced multiple new characters and rightly so since Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max and the others at Hawkins high school were exploring a new chapter of their teenage life among new friends or characters that weren’t addressed in earlier seasons. (Yes, that means Eddie and others from the D&D club). And the same applies to El/Jane, Jonathan, and Will living a new life in Lenora Hills, California. Fortunately, thanks to the talented people of Stranger Things writers’ room – the few new faces playing recurring characters and brief appearances in the penultimate season have left a mark on fans, some even sharing their explicit reactions on Twitter.

Starting with Eden, the character who appears as Suzie’s sister – played by Holcomb has many fans crushing for her already. Some even say her appearance is inspired by Allison Reynolds’ look from The Breakfast Club.

Franco’s Argyle, Jonathan’s new hippie friend, the pizza boy has come in clutch in rescuing Mike and the others and seems to be part of the journey. His charming funny personality even gets him the girl, Eden – the next fan-favorite mystery girl.

The D&D leader cum the fall guy for Vecna’s first assault in Stranger Things 4, Quinn’s Eddie already has his own fan following and maybe even an obsession for his charming freak character.

The sweet lovable Hawkins Highschool student, Van Dien’s Chrissy – gone too soon but never forgotten among fans

Tom Wlaschiha as Dimitri ‘Enzo’ Antonov, the Russian prison guard, and Hopper’s one chance of escape from the commie-controlled camp.

Last but not the least, Jamie Campbell Bower as Henry Creel, his eerie role from being just another prison guard to being revealed as the One, the first of Dr. Brenner’s program has won him many hearts.  As can be seen in the reactions below.

While most of the newcomers have left a lot of positive impressions, some fall in the bully category, such as Angela. The character is probably the most hated of the show, thanks to Elodie Grace Orkin’s commendable performance.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 is set to return on July 1 on Netflix. What did you think of the new stars of Stranger Things 4? Let us in the comments below or tweet to our writer @RAKarthikPrasad to discuss all things Upside Down & more.
