Fans react to Stranger Things 4 Episode 7 – Nancy’s cliffhanger in Upside Down, Victor Creel’s son is [SPOILER], Eleven’s origin & more

Stranger Things season 4 episode 7 explains Victor Creel’s connection to Vecna but unfortunately, by putting Nancy (Natalia Dyer) in jeopardy and probably Steve (Joe Keery) too. Even with a nail-biting cliffhanger, Vol. 1 finale ties up the loose ends with Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) backstory in addition to unveiling where her powers come from. As expected, Stranger Things fans are not short of praises for Netflix and the Duffer Brothers – some even calling Episode 7 titled “Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab” one of the best cinematic experiences. Here’s a brief highlight/recap of the Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 finale.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1

It’s looking increasingly likely Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 could deliver a fatal blow to the fandom by killing off one of Hawkins’s favorites. And Stranger Things season 4 episode 7 may have indicated it could either be Steve or Nancy after Vecna targets her. But the fandom is clearly not for it.

The finale also addresses Vecna as Victor Creel’s son, Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower) as well as One/001 who was Dr. Brenner’s (Matthew Modine) first subject at Hawkins Lab. While the world has turned “Upside Down” at Hawkins, Joyce (Winona Ryder), Murray (Brett Gelman) and Hopper (David Harbour) have reunited after pulling off a 1000 to 1 chance of escape from the Russian Prison camp. Excitement and praises for the series are off the roof among fans as can be seen in reactions below.

The adults of Hawkins and the Police force were left fumbling for answers behind the gruesome deaths in episode 7 with most of the town convinced of satanic cult involvement connected to the D&D club.  Meanwhile, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Max (Sadie Sink), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Erica (Priah Ferguson) figure out a way to rescue the others stuck in Upside Down.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 finale sums up the interconnected plot points between El and the creatures of Upside Down. Also, it could be the first indication there’s a bigger world to explore as spin-offs after Stranger Things 5. But before jumping ahead, Stranger Things’ Nightmare on Elm Street-Esque horror is yet to wrap up the penultimate season. For now, fans can be hopeful for Robin (Maya Hawke), Steve and Nancy as trailer scenes show the characters suited up for the battle in The Upside Down. And Eddie’s (Joseph Quinn) electric guitar skills are one that fans are longing to see.

Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
