Fans react to The Boys season 3 episode 4 disturbing Supersonic [Spoiler], Solider Boy arrives, Kimiko’s cliffhanger, A-train Pepsi parody & more

The Boys season 3 episode 4 establishes Homelander (Antony Starr)  is free from Vought’s restraint after CEO Stan Edgar’s (Giancarlo Esposito) fiasco in trusting Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit). And unfortunately, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) continues to be a target, even so, the most disturbing event of the episode “Glorious Five Year Plan,” fell on Supersonic’s (Miles Gaston Villanueva) lap and fans can’t get over it.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for The Boys season 3 episode 4

After a brief technical snag that delayed the episode’s release leaving many fans frustrated, the episode was finally made available on the OTT. And as expected, Prime Video’s The Boys has done it again and not even Timothy’s death or the traumatizing Termite scene could come close to episode 4’s shocking death of Supersonic. Turns out, trusting A-train (Jessie T. Usher) blew up on the faces of the resistance building inside The Seven. But the third act had another bombshell to drop on viewers during Butcher (Karl Urban) and the boys’ visit to the secret Russian facility, to find out the weapon that killed Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) that could potentially take down Homelander. But to their surprise, they find Solider Boy himself kept in some form of a hibernation pod. And to no surprise, he gets out.

The episode also confirmed Soldier Boy’s power upgrade that apparently could be the answer to fighting or even killing Homelander. His laser beam which ended up hitting Kimiko has surprisingly knocked out her healing ability, putting her fate up in air. The priceless reactions on social media as seen below tell a lot about the impact of episode 4 and the consequences yet to come with Solider Boy on the loose. Additionally, some viewers have found comfort in Kimiko and Frenchie’s (Tomer Capone) growing relationship.

Amidst all this, Hughie (Jack Quaid) seems to be going through a weird power-hungry seeking journey after taking the temp Compound V.  The few comedic relief moments in The Boys season 3 episode 4 were with A-Train’s ad campaign, a parody of the real-life controversial Pepsi ad featuring Kendall Jenner. Watching Kimiko killing a bunch of Russian criminals with dildos. That and also A-train punching The Deep (Chace Crawford) in the gill gut. Meanwhile, Maeve (Dominique McElligott) seems to be training for the inevitable fight against Homelander though with A-train rating out Starlight’s plan, is Maeve even safe anymore?

With Kimko battling for life, The Boys seem to be fractured to the point of no return with even Mother’s milk (Laz Alonso) losing his hope in Butcher. The Boys season 3 episode 5 has a lot of questions to answer when it streams on next week, June 17 on Prime Video.
