Sony’s standalone Spider-Man spinoff film Venom is likely to get its first trailer soon. It is expected that the first trailer of the film will debut within the next few days. According to a report coming from Trailer Track, the highly anticipated Sony project has officially received a new rating from the Manitoba Film Classification Board, which means that the trailer is coming out soon.
The Venom trailer is most likely to drop in the next two weeks, right in time to be played alongside Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, which hits movie theatres on February 16, 2018.
Notably, the standalone Spider-Man spinoff, Venom, has already wrapped up shooting. While nothing much about the film’s plot has been revealed by the makers, it is confirmed that it will star Tom Hardy in the role of Eddie Brock who is a reporter-turned-Spider-Man nemesis. The actor recently took to Instagram to mark the end of production. He posted a behind-the-scenes image with a caption “Wrapped life back Bye.” You can check out the picture below.
The Sony’s upcoming superhero film is being directed by Zombieland fame director, Ruben Fleischer, from a script by Jeff Pinkner (The Dark Tower), Scott Rosenberg (Jumanji) and Kelly Marcel (Fifty Shades of Grey). The star cast also includes actors Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson and Riz Ahmed in the lead roles. It’s believed that Tom Holland as the fan favorite Peter Parker may show up for a small cameo in the movie. Venom is slated to hit movie screens on October 5, 2018.
Sony reportedly has another Spider-Man spinoff film in works which is Silver & Black. The movie will focus on Silver Sable and the Black Cat and is scheduled to arrive on February 8, 2019.
