The Flash EP Addresses Wally West’s Absence, Assures His Return

The Flash fans be assured that Wally West is returning soon. Even though Keiynan Lonsdale is a regular, the actor’s character did not make an appearance in Oct 31 episode and fans have been worried about his return.

Fans will remember that Wally announced his absence in Oct. 24 episode. He told Barry and Iris that he is taking a journey to sort out his personal life and left for Blue Valley. The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that Lonsdale is still a regular and won’t be away for too long.

In an interview with TV Line, Kreisberg promised that “we will see him again” in a few weeks. The co-showrunner also revealed that he will be back in Episode 7 airing on Nov. 21. Further, the EP revealed why Wally’s sabbatical was important. He promised things will get clearer as the show moves forward.

Fans know while Wally is gone, a new speedster, Elongated Man is here to help Barry with the missions. According to an earlier report, Hartley Sawyer’s Ralph Dibny (Elongated Man) may appear as Barry’s nemesis. Later, however, he proves to be a good guy and joins Team Flash.

“It’s difficult having two speedsters on the show, just creatively and financially,” Kreisberg explained. “There are a lot of times where either Barry had to get knocked out so Wally could save the day, or Wally had to get knocked out so Barry could save the day — and just knocking them out, that costs a lot.”

According to the showrunner, when the Kid Flash returns there will be some “exciting stuff” revealed about him. The details remain unspecified.

The Flash starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Panabaker as Killer Frost, Tom Cavanagh as Harry Wells airs Tuesdays on The CW. Keep visiting Pursue News for more news and updates on The Flash.
