It is Official – Director Brad Anderson, who previously directed The Machinist, Fringe and The Call will helm the pilot episode of DC’s upcoming live-action Titans TV series.

A lot of information has been coming up about the cast of the live-action Titans TV series since last month. But we now also know who will be directing the new DC TV show. According to the official website of Directors Guild of Canada Ontario, Brad Anderson will helm the series premiere of the live-action Teen Titans series.

Meanwhile, Starfire actress Anna Diop also shared a small video clip of a VFX test for the show Titans. The video doesn’t reveal much apart from hinting that production will begin soon.

Anderson has had quite a long stint in television. Apart from the hit sci-fi series produced by JJ Abrams, Anderson has also helmed episodes of popular shows such as Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, AMC’s The Killing, and Treme.

The TV series will narrate the story of a group of young superheroes from DC Universe. Dick Grayson suddenly emerges from the shadows and leads the brave and fearless group knows as Titans.

The series is written by Geoff Johns, DC creative chief officer, Greg Berlanti of Legends Of Tomorrow, Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash fame, and Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery). The 13-episode series of the Titans will premiere in 2018 on DC’s new streaming service.

Titans star cast includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly as Hawk and Dove, Teagan Croft as Raven, and Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach. The Beast Boy casting is yet to be announced.

The 13-episode series is set to premiere next year on DC’s new streaming service along with Young Justice season 3. Check out the VFX test video shared by Anna Diop below.
